CSR Racing App Reviews

The game itself is fine, but I keep having issues with in-app purchases seemingly “disappearing” into thin air. By that, I mean they don’t show up in my game’s credit account and to get credit from the gamemaker I need to track down my apple store e-mail receipts to get acknowledgement/credit for my undelivered purchases! Not sure if this is specific to myself or the Mac platform, but buyer beware. Keep your receipts!

not everyone can earn gold so easily. why not make options on either to buy it with gold or csr cash

Constantly wants you to buy upgrades - very quickly is impossible to win without paying for upgrades. Played for about 15 minutes and then uninstalled the app.

I was surprised to find that this "racing" game has no ability to steer. Its just quarter-mile straight line gas and shift, nothing more. Completely depthless. But, OK, some people actually think that going as fast as you can in a few seconds is a sport, so we can give the devs the benefit of the doubt here. But the game doesnt even reflect that cut-down racing concept correctly. You can hear the engine rev up, but the tach indicator is not in synch with the sound. The engine whine is increasing steadily but the tach shows its redlined. It looks like the game devs spent all of their time on graphics and line drawings of scary competitors. The lame soundtrack doesnt help either. This game is worth the bandwidth needed to download it.

I LOVE THIS GAME!!! It always has something you can do, and is so addicting and fun! My #1 game currently!

Graphics look good, but it costs way too much money to get further in the game, also this is the lamest racing game Ive ever played.

wish they would update it to have the same features as the iPhone/ipad versions

Used it very briefly, but that was enough for me to know that I have no interest in this game. First, you can only see the car from the side. I’m looking for a game where one can see the road ahead of one, so that one can feel the motion in a visceral way. This has none of that visceral impact. Second, I had to use Audio Hijack to mute it, since it was playing annoying music and noises over my iTunes without an obvious way to turn them off. Third, attempting to set license plate text costs money. Apparently, “real” money. Games are supposed to be about wish fulfillment, being able to do pretty much whatever I feel like doing. If it’s advertised as a free game, it should be free. It’s hard enough to find free games in the App Store, which ridiculously doesn’t allow filtering for them but shows all that paid rubbish in search results even though I’m not going to spend money on a game I haven’t tried out first. Finally, it gives notification center notifications when the app isn’t even running, trying to get you to start it up and start playing. I just wish the old Russian game Safari Biathlon Racer for Windows would work on Mac, it had a very fun demo mode, and the full version was open about being like $20 without pretending the actual game was “free”. I’m not sure why the App Store requires me to give it at least one star to say that I “hate” this game — I wouldn’t give it one if I was feeling generous. Back to the open source SuperTuxKart already, this rubbish is getting sent to the trash can with extreme prejudice. </rant> Peace out.

really fun, very addictive

It limits play time for a nice break when working. If you are rich or addicted to this game it will pay the developers and you will procrastinate instead of doing your work.

This game is alright for the first tier or so then you’re basically done unless you spend money. All these games requiring you to make in-app purchases is getting out of hand. What happened to creators making games just because? Why does everyone feel the need to make people spend money to have fun?

there is no way to reset the game on macbook air……MAKE A BUTTON THAT RESETS IT.

The game is kindof silly, in that it doesn’t rely on much skill at all, but it is pretty fun and addictive since as you progress and perform upgrades your vehicles do continue to get faster. It can also be played for free: I’m currently on Tier 3 and haven’t run into any roadblocks yet that require actual money to be spent.

Overall this is a good game but if you dont want to spend money on it like me its pretty difficult to play because they always want you to pay for things. If you dont pay you miss out on a lot of things.

Just updated to OS X El Capitan and I can’t install the game I read great reviews about it and I was so excited to play it Please fix it!!!

tried downloading the game.. every time says error occured and try from purchases and no option there to try again..

ive had the game before and i deleted it, i went back about a week later to re-download but this error pops up saying i cant download it, but i can still download other apps
